The Cornerstone community dressed to dazzle with flappers, feathers and fedoras as we celebrated our 20th anniversary at “The Cornerstone Club” speakeasy. Advisors, team members, spouses and guests from across the country gathered to honor the firm’s founding and enjoy a night of fun, food and fellowship.

The celebration took place at the historic Chase Park Plaza, a stunning Art Deco hotel in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis – the perfect setting for a Roaring ’20s-themed party. After giving the secret password at the speakeasy entrance, guests made their way to the rooftop Zodiac Room, where panoramic views stretched from the Gateway Arch to Forest Park. A beautiful sunset drew attendees to the patio for the perfect photo op.

Joe Keifer gives a toast celebrating 20 years of Cornerstone

Cornerstone Co-Founder and Managing Partner Joe Keifer offered a heartfelt toast to everyone who has helped build the firm over the past two decades. He reflected on how much Cornerstone has grown since he and Co-Founder Greg Shoemaker first set out on their own. Joe shared his gratitude for the many advisors have found value in joining this community over the years and making a difference in the lives of their clients and their families.

After a delicious dinner, the “Cornerstone Casino” opened for play, giving guests the chance to try their luck at blackjack and craps. The tables quickly filled with players and spectators alike – and plenty of laughter. The night’s big winner was Michelle Millonas, wife of Cornerstone Managing Partner Dean Millonas, who topped the leaderboard with more than $4,000 in chips!

With so many sharply dressed guests, choosing the “best dressed” awards was no easy task. In the end, advisors Rachel Hobbs of Joplin, Missouri, and Don Aulbert of St. Peters, Missouri, claimed the titles for their dapper attire.

For many, the highlight of the evening simply being together – connecting with peers in person, meeting spouses, and enjoying time with colleagues outside of the day-to-day routine. While the event celebrated two decades of Cornerstone’s history, it ultimately honored what makes the firm special: every advisor and team member who create such a supportive, collaborative and uplifting community.
